Just set up my 75 and it's cycling right now. Im planning on getting a clean up crew to start from reefcleaners. Do I wait until the first algae bloom and get a crew for a 35 gallon? Would their be enough food in a new freshly cycled tank to support the entire 75 gal crew? Thanks everyone!

I would think not. It depends what you plan on getting and what each eats, but there should not be much of anything to eat in a freshly cycled tank.

^^^Totally agree^^^ Happy to see someone pointing this out. :) IMO To many recommend a huge clean up crew for freshly cycled tanks. Only to have the poor critters starve to death.
Take your time, research the needs of the animals you want or that are suggested to you. Then ask yourself, does my tank contain enough of what they eat to thrive.
Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of reefing! :)

Perfect. I was thinking that if they eat detritus and algae, and there isn't any yet, i didn't want to starve them even if they are just snails and crabs. and I'll probably start out by ordering one for a 20 galafter the first bloom and then get the CUC for the 30 gal if i notice anything crepping back up. Thanks for the tip!
