Clean up Crew Suggestions...

Hello, I have recently set up a jbj 45 aio tank, and I was wondering if people could suggest some options for a good clean up crew for it? ALL SUGGESTIONS WELCOME!

Are you doing a geographic biome? That limits choices of course.

I am not a crab enthusiast. I have a porcelain but would never have any hermits.

Shrimp? I like pacific cleaners, sexy, peppermints, camelbacks.

My favorite mollusc is a conch, tiger in my case (pacific biome).

Nerite, cerith, turbinidae, and turbo snails are great.

Bristleworms are great at detritus removal.

I recommend starting small, you can always add more if you need it. For that size tank I would start with:
10 Trochus (Algae)
10 Cerith (Algae)
5 Nassarius (Leftover fish food/Anything that dies)
Maybe also get a shrimp, I like Skunk Cleaners or Fire Shrimp.

Camelback are as close to a crab as a shrimp can be aside from a coral banded. They are the edge shrimp imo

I'm glad you've got good experience with Camelback shrimp in a reef tank. You are in the upper 10%.

Add your initial CUC sparingly. Half a dozen nassarius (forgot those loves), a couple 2-3 nerite, turbo, and turban is a good start.

Everyone loves a skunk cleaner per 30G

Work from there depending on need. It it easier to add a few snails later than it is to deal with cascading die off if snails die off due to starvation leading to ammonia spike. Add a few at a time to find a balance.
