Clean Up Crew

Pretty early on in my opinion. I wait until the water is not toxic and there's food --- algae growth and diatoms. It also a good time to start adding other micro fauna so they get a foothold - for me, this includes spaghetti worms and bristle worms, amphipods, copepods and Trochus snails. Establishing the sandbed is good to initiate a solid ecosystem.

+1. Wait until ammonia is zero and the CUC will have something to feed on. Be careful as to the size of the CUC you go with. Too large and many will starve and die.

I would wait till ur tank has fish for about a month. This way there is something to actually clean. Then start slow. About on member per 5 gal and see how they do. If u add to much to quick then most will die and a new problem will start. This video may help.
