I am setting up a new 210g reef tank. Once it is done cycling the first thing I want to add is a clean up crew. Problem is I am not sure what to add. I am thinking of adding the clean up crew suggested by "The Complete Idiots Guide to Saltwater Aquariums". Is there another place I can look for suggestions? Or do any of you have suggestions?

i have heard alot of neg about crabs esp hermits they will eat snails which ive experienced but also will pick at some corals and stuff, i would suggest a nice crew of snails with no crabs

Add me to the list that detest hermit crabs - won't use them again! Also love my snails (I have a mix of nassarius, astrea, trochus, cerith, fighting conch and a couple small mexican turbos) and would recommend a variety of them. I also have chitons, brittle stars and a couple sea cucumbers in my crew. I had a couple urchins also - they do a great job but do tend to do a lot of bulldozing and rearranging for you ifi everything is not glued down well! I'm sure the mexican turbos will do the same once they reach a big size also!

Exactly. I despise hermits especially in a reef. I have seen them kill snails for sport. :mad2:
