What's the best way to clean and store used sand for later. Or should I throw it out please explain as to y throw out.

I've never done this so I'm not sure what the best way would be. It always seems easier and less time consuming and less risky to just buy new sand.

Rinse with the hose , Bleach soak , rinse and lay it out in the sun.
Get it as dry as you can before storing it.

The only thing to worry about past that is phosphate on the sand.

A lot of folks don’t like to clean sand. Some the sand gets wet and moldy.

There are ways to do it, but it simply isn't cost effective or practical.

Just use tap water with strong watering nozzle and clean 1/3 sand in the basket until you see the water clear then do the next batch. After you finish all your sand then you can leave in your back yard until it dries.
When you want to use your sand again, you need to soak it with RO/DI water once more time. That's it.
No need to bleach.
