Hello reefers
I was wondering how many shrimps would be considered too many if at all because I see that part of the territory fought over by my tangs they tend to want the caves that have the cleaners in them .. I have around 6-7 of them currently was wondering I should add more like another 5 maybe ..
looking forward to your replies

How big is the tank? What type of shrimp? Can you describe your aquascape or post pics of it? Do you have enough food for them all?

Tried to get some of my recent photos .. aqauspace is mostly caves as to decrease the aggression ( which it did ) ..
Tank is 500gallons display (200g sump) 10 foot by 2.5 by 2.5 ..

Beautiful!!! I would say in that tank, you can add more. Try to add then into the caves without shrimp and see if that works. Otherwise, they will probably fight if not mated. One for each cave sounds good. :)

Thanks for the replies .. the middle caves are quite big so there are like 4 shrimp just in the middle (pairs) .. so yeah I was thinking of adding another 4

Thanks for the compliment .. took a while to set up.. my bank account has held a grudge to this day hahha

Added more live rock as the tangs are enjoying the caves theme .. anything for my tangs (addiction)

Given ur name this tank used to actually be a arowana stingray tang .. loves arowanas
Same here ha ha ha, I wish I had one. My favorite is a silver, but I wouldn't be against a black one either, not a big fan of red or gold though

BTW that elegance coral in that last pic is really awesome, I feel like I see too many people put them on the ground and not on the aquascape. I'm thinking about getting one but am not sure I have the room...I need another tank and I have one I may set up, I'm not sure.

Yeah I have two of them and put them on the liverock they sway with the flow looks much better in my opinion on the aquascaping

I've been in a constant standoff as to whether or I not I favor elegance corals or duncan corals. I'm really not sure, but your elegance coral is swaying me in favor of elegance. I feel like I'd really like to have a pistol shrimp/goby cave under a flat rock with a elegance coral on top, it would be cool to see them peeking out from under it.

That’s sounds awesome! I’m afraid I may have to do that on my new setup!

Right? I had a pistol shrimp/watchman for almost a year (the shrimp died two weeks ago, murdered by peppermint shrimp) and they were an awesome pair. Plus they have a primary entrance where the goby watches for food/danger, you'd wait for that to develop and then locate an elegance coral there.
