I have a zoa garden in my 20g cube that my cleaner shrimp will not stay off of. About 50% of the time the shrimp is walking across the garden or just sitting on top of it looking for food im assuming. This is causing the zoas to stay closed for most of the time as well. Is there any solution to this or do i just need to get rid of the shrimp?

I doubt the shrimp will stop.
yea its been a couple weeks now and i have some pretty pricey zoas in the garden so would rather not lose those. Going to try to catch him tonight i guess... Hes one of the most active members in the tank sucks to see him go.

Get rid of the shrimp, the shrimp will not change that behavior. You chould try a fire shrimp. Fire shrimp are less intrusive often hanging and hiding in caves and over hangs.

I've had nothing but terribly luck with shrimp. My first shrimp, a peppermint shrimp, ate my first frogspawn. Literally ate it. I caught him doing it, so I got rid of him.

Now I've recently caught my cleaner shrimp munching on my stylophora and my duncan. I love the way he looks, but I'm pretty sure I'll be getting rid of him very soon.

The zoas will eventually die right? Or can they withstand it.

Do you have a cave or archway available for him? Mine spends most of his time under an arch. I don't think they like to be out in the open if they have a choice.
