So my tank started with just one Skunk cleaner shrimp, 2 months down the road I got another skunk shrimp so the 1st won't be so lonely. About 4-5 weeks ago I noticed that one of the shrimp was carrying eggs under it, I thought nothing of it.. Well today while working on my Fuge at night when the Fuge light is on, I noticed a ton of little shrimp swimming around in my sump. I was cleaning my Fuge of unwanted algae and disturbed lots of the algae in my sump, and BOOOOOM thousands of little shrimp just popped out I mean thousands. Is this normal has this happened to anyone? I can't get good pics with my phone they are too small, I will try though once they get bigger!

I’ve seen it happen but with sexy shrimp. It was unbelievable, maybe the most exciting thing I’ve witnessed within my tank.

After the first batch of larve, I kept a close eye on mama shrimp. Every 14ish days she’d pop out another batch of tiny shrimp. I witnessed the larve explosion 3 more times and even managed to get good photos of it. Incredible!

The larve barely survived 24 hours though, even without filtration or any predators. One day I’ll build a dedicated system to raise the larve and watch them grow old...

I noticed a few days ago that my peppermint shrimp were acting crazy...swimming up the glass and chasing each other around. One had eggs. She was dead the next day...I don’t know if the other one killed her or if it was something else. I was excited to see baby peps
