Cleaner shrimp eating acans?

I can’t seem to keep acans in my tank. They will last a few weeks and look just fine but then there will suddenly be chunks of them missing till they are all gone.

Tank inhabitants:
Yellow tang
Yellow wrasse
Mandarin goby
A large turbo snail
Pin cushion urchin
6 spotted goby
Clown fish
Cleaner shrimp

What are your parameters and lighting? Where in the tank are.you putting them?

Rapid led lighting

I have had them at the bottom, middle, shaded, full light, right side, left side. Same thing always happens.

Yes. I have other lps that are doing just fine

Watch the urchins. Mine will try to eat anything. He ate a small rock flower.

I don’t think it has to do with parameters because it is always one at a time.

I'd advise you buy a small cheap one, wait a few days (until you start to see symptoms), get up in the night and pull it out of the tank, placing it in a clear tupperware or glass. Watch what crawls off of it, you may have a pest hiding out coming out at night to nibble.

Maybe I’ll stick a camera on it for a few days and try and capture the culprit red handed.

Long story short. In my tank the peppermint shrimp kill my acans. I moved my acan up on the rocks where my shrimp dont usually go. There they leave it be somehow.
