Hey guys, this is my cleaner shrimp. I noticed something on his sides the other day which I had not noticed before. I’m no invert expert but it looks like something is stuck in what I can describe no better than the equivalent of his rib cage. I see him picking at it sometimes. Is this normal?

Like everything else, I wouldn’t stress it lol. Its probably a bruise or something. My guess is that it’ll be gone next time he molts.

Following. I’ve noticed something similar on my recent 3 shrimps. Wonder if it’s a precursor to the “black lung.” (For lack of better name)

@Humblefish any ideas?

So- another post a week ago had the same, but a bit more extensive. We initially thought it was preparing to molt, but it passed overnight. May or may not have been related.

Watching for updates.

Thank you guys for your input!

I mean it’s really strange to me because he seems to be doing fine. He eats normal, always moving around the tank, curious as always. But I initially noticed it about 4 days ago and I saw him sticking his legs in there and kinda moving it around. As if he was scooping it out. I don’t think it’s bruising because he has it on both sides and the pictures don’t do it justice but you can see it like little things inside him. Just wanted to make sure he’s good or if there’s anything I could do
