Cleaner wrasse going after clam?

Anyone ever had a cleaner wrasses start picking at a clam? These guys have been cohabitating for months, and suddenly he's harassing the thing. Thought they were reef safe. I am trying to decide if it's actually attacking the clam or trying to munch on something that is crawling around it.

Mine doesn't bother my clam either. Maybe yours is picking parasites off it?

Maybe - he really seems to be digging in there.

It's bizarre! He's never looked at the thing twice before this week
