Cleaner Wrasse

Has anyone had any problems with cleaner wrasse killing snails? the last 10 days he knocks the snails and shakes them around, he tries to dig the snails out of the sand, I have nassiarius and cerith snails and he tries to to do the same with them, has any had any experience with this or behavior?

That sounds like such a strange behavior for a cleaner wrasse! A long time ago, I read about a mimic cleaner wrasse, that was aggressive and a fin nipper. They looked almost identical. Most likely this is not the case, as I don't even know if a mimic cleaner wrasse even eats snails, or is primarily a fin nipper. Is is just very interesting, because I don't think I have ever heard anything like this.

Neither of my old cleaner wrasse of several years have ever exhibited this behavior, nor have any others I've owned over the years! That's strange!

This booger is getting on my nerves. Because he cost less then the snails. I don't know what is wrong with him.

That's amazing to me, I guess he is a wrasse after all. Maybe trade him out! They're so hard to catch though... So fast..

Yes he started doing this about 10 days ago. It is strange . I have him about 4 years and he hasn't done this before.:mad:

Catching him would not be a big problem. Because the little monkey will eat from my hands and he is crazy about the veggie clip .And I know where he sleeps.
