Cleaners for tank

Looking for suggestions on cleaner for my tank- got 125 gallon reef tank with sump/skimmer - was wondering how many snails,shrimp, crabs to use to maintain algae etc. Local fish guy told me (1) cleaner per gallon so does that really mean I need 125 critters of some type.

I have 125 reef set up with about 100 turbo, mexican and bumble snails, 25 blue legged hermits and I can probably still use some more as snails die off and hermits use their shells after a while. They keep a majority of algae and waste under control. You local guys sound right but clean up crew depends a lot on your feeding habits and maintenance routine.
