cleaning a Jabeo DCP 6500

Maybe i'm just missing something but does this thing come apart? I ran it in some vinegar but can't for the life of me figure out how to take the impeller out.

I ran into this problem too, and tried prying the cover off like an idiot.

What you need to do is simply hold the cover and twist it on the axis of the impellor (ie turn it the way the impellor spins), i forget which way but it should turn <¼ of a turn and pop right off!

I think you also need to take the bottom plate off first, it looks the cover in place

Take the bottom plate off, then grab the pump cover and lefty loosey it and it should pop right off

thanks everyone, the instructions I have (same as posted) it just seems like you pull it apart. the bottom plate i think is my issue, i'll take that off and give it a go.

Finally got around to cleaning it. It feels wrong turning it but it's all cleaned up. Thanks everyone

It does come appart, the little black or clear plate has tabs that extend down and function as a centering mechanisms. You dont pull the impeller, you pull on the black or clear plate. The plate comes of with the impeller.

Look at the tabs that extend down, those are what center the impeller, they just get stuck overtime.

i think that one is for the older models, the newer DCP model is what the OP and i have, and the impeller assembly just comes out as is.
