I have a HOB Reef Octopus Protein Skimmer that I recently took off the tank and cleaned. I cleaned it with water and distilled white vinegar with great success. My question is, what do I need to do to safely put it back in the tank in terms of rinsing it? I rinsed it in tap water, but my tap water is well water and quite hard and doesn't run through the city filters. Is it safe to rinse it, dry it the best I can, then put it back on the tank? Any risk of copper causing issues?

Thanks

If you are worried about the well water, get a bucket fill it with Poland spring or ro water and run it for 10 minutes and should be good to go. That's what I do with mine

That is kind of what i was thinking. Just to get any residual off. I have a bag of fairly fresh carbon in there right now, which I'm hoping would help if there was anything in the water.
