Cleaning a used tank

Can i fill the tank up completely and sump and run it with a return pump with a vinegar and water solution to clean everything for a couple days? I have an old tank that I took everything out of but never disconnected any of the plumbing or equipment because i decided that i did not want to take it down. So wondering if filling it back up with vinegar and water and letting it filter thru for a few days is ok to clean everything up before restarting the tank.

I don't know about silicone. That's my hesitation

I dont see why vinager would harm the silicone. Its not like you'd be creating a muriatic acid bath kind of ph. Would help soften all the calcium deposits for sure
