Cleaning acrylic tank

I have a old used acrylic tank I am going to be setting up what is the best way to clean it.

I would fill it with water, add a gallon of vinegar, wait a few hours. Then I would go after it with a old credit card and scrape it gently.

Okay should I run the pump with it?

If just dirty and grimy do as said above. My acrylic tank was all scratched up and I used Nova or novus to get the scratches out works pretty good but still has some scratches on it.

Yeah it’s just dirty I have a decent sized scratch on side but just using it as a frag quarantine in the basement so not worried about it I just removed all dirt and Debris filling with RO water and vinegar.

It just has a little pump on it in the back I don’t know if you can tell but was just wondering if I should run it to clean that out as well

Yea guess that wouldn't hurt anything and would clean it. Just make sure to run good ro after ur done with the vinegar bath. So nothing left in pump

If scratched up- use NOVUS cleaner then polish. If just dirty, fill with water and allow to sit a couple of hours then use magic eraser from Mr clean (original Not scented). Credit card may scratch. I have two acrylic tanks and learned the hard way in some respect

Right it’s only a 10 gallon but still has all racks already and pump I had to buy it lol. And I’m currently battling a ich outbreak so I’m not taking any more chances! Lol
