Hi all,

I see all the comments about aerosols, glade plugins, etc. but I don't see much about reef-safe cleaners to use in your home.

I have a 20 gallon on a stand ontop of carpet in an office and would like to do periodic cleanings of the carpet. Are there any recommended products to use?
So far I'm seeing that you can use carpet foam if you spray it outside onto a rag and then press it into the carpet, then use baking soda on the are and vacuum it up within a small time-frame.

I'm setting up a 133gal on engineered wood flooring, and would likely use 'simple green' to clean the floors once a month or so. Any problems or thoughts on this?

Any other recommendations for general household things to not do around the aquarium? I've seen one or two older discussions on here about scented candles, glade plug ins, diffusers, etc, but of course would want to keep the house fresh and clean. Any suggestions/experiences are helpful!

White Vinegar and water is great natural cleaner. Hydrogen Peroxide and water is pretty useful for cleaning too. As long as your mindful of what you're doing you should be fine.

Most of the time vinegar and water, especially on the pergo floors has been the go to cleaner.
Lately we have been forced to use a stronger alcohol based cleaner on counter tops and other touched surfaces.
Just apply to a rag and wipe. I try to avoid aerosol based cleaners.

As for odor control, I bought two of these ozone generators for my 1,100 sqft apartment:

My two daughters used to tell me that my apartment smelled like rotting fish before I got these. I also live above a restaurant kitchen and a lot of smells would waft up here, now I smell nothing.
