Picking up a used 180 gallon acrylic tomorrow and need to get a LOT of coralline off the surface (almost completely covered). Any suggestions?

I'm considering just mostly filling it and running citric acid with a pump for a bit, then scraping with an old credit card, but open to any advice.

I went the citric acid route, as you propose. Two days of tap water circulating with the c.a. and even the thick Coralline peeled right off with virtually no scraping at all.

Here's the tank in question since I've now got it home!
