Hi All,
I'm wanting to purchases some calcifying macro algae -- Halimeda, etc -- for my display, and have two Qs:
1. If it's calcifying, can you dip it in CoralRX, or nah?
2. If it can't be dipped, could it be given a 5-minute peroxide bath w/tank water like I do w/new FW plants? I typically do 1 tsp of food-grade 3% peroxide per gallon of water. (I also use peroxide a ton for horticultural uses -- most of my houseplants get watered w/a 3-2 water/H2O2 mix in Oct to stave off root rot, and it works wonders.)
Does anybody have recommendations for cleaning/ridding of pests prior to adding calcifying macros to my tank?
