Cleaning equipment, what vinegar can I use?

I bought distilled white vinegar, is that ok? Also if I'm cleaning my power heads do I use straight vinegar or mix with water?

I mix 50/50 with water and let soak for 30 to 60 minutes. Then i disassemble and scrub with a brush. Then reassemble and rinse in RODI water before returning to the tank.

Ended up doing it that way and it worked well on my power heads, got covered in really tough green algea.

This is what I use. It's stronger than the regular vinegar and used for cleaning.

Distilled vinegar is 5% acidity. The cleaning vinegar is 6%. It costs twice as much here.

I use distilled vinegar without diluting it but I don't let stuff sit in it.

Alright. Thank you guys! How long do you wait till you put said equipment back in tank? After I cleaned mine I rinsed in bath water and let sit till it air dried.

People dose vinegar into their tanks. I rinse stuff and go. A tiny amount will hurt nothing. Just be sure to turn pumps around and upside down to get it out of all the places inside it can pool.

Save money buy the cheapest vinegar still work

I get $1 store white vinegar. You can mix it 50/50 for light cleaning or use it straight for heavier cleaning of coralline and calcium build up.
