Is it possible to clean filter socks without bleach and a washing machine? Can i just wash/rinse them out in hot water and let them air dry?

They need pressure as Micron fiber needs to be clear/clean for sediment entrapment. Many use pressure washer but good luck keeping sock in place. Cant beat a washer machine.
I use warm water- No bleach or soap

Trash those felt socks....they are never clean! Switch to mesh. Run under the faucet while rubbing fabric to fabric....done.....maybe 30 seconds if that. Once a year I'll bleach them, but not really needed.

I wash mine with the water hose using pressure to clean as well as possible. Then i add them to a container with half water and half peroxide. After a week, they are clean again. This has worked for me for a couple years now.

Thats seems like a good idea. But dont they “trap” or catch less stuff?

I power wash with the hose to get all the brown off. Inside and out. Then put them in a 2 gallon bucket and pour in 50 mls or so, i dont measure, of 34% peroxide. Let them sit in there for 24 hours. I then take them out and squeeze out all the solution and let air dry. I have done it this way for 3 years now.
The socks are still nice and white. I do replace them once a year. I only use 2 7" socks ony 120 and 2 4" socks on my 45 frag and rotate them every week.
