Hey all,

I screwed up. I was washing out a new aquarium with my hose, then I used paper towels to hand dry it. After I wiped the aquarium's glass I noticed some pieces of the paper towel on the edges of the silicone. What should I do? Should I just wash it again and just dry it with a cloth this time?

Thanks,

Mr. Fishy Fish

lol, thanks for the help. There's nothing wrong with confirming something you're not well versed in. I'll give it another rinse now.
Even if it doesnt come off it wont hurt any livestock. Its just bleached cellulose and wont even decompose for years and years.

Nah I’m just kidding. Give it a quick rinse or wipe down and your good. Use a little ro/di water to loosen it up a little.

Here's a tip; Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Great tank cleaner and would probably help with your current situation. Oh, and use these wet!

HTH.

Great, I'm glad to hear that. Either way, I figured the HOB filter would deal with it. Also, It's stuck on there so I just rinsed it out with my hose outside.
