Cleaning Jebao 55w UV

I pulled the quartz sleeve on my 55w jebao today, it still had some sort of silicone residue on it. Almost like it was taped up for shipping. Is this par for the course for the jebao? I’m assuming the more expensive ones are crystal clear?

How do you get the crud off, or is it even worth it. I’m using this while I save up for a nicer one.

I would assume you can clean it just like any other one. I use rubbing alcohol. Just make sure you use a soft rag and don’t put to much pressure on the glass.
