Hello everyone. Hope you are enjoying your long weekend if you got one. Anyways, I have a small tank set up housing 2 pieces of LR with corals in it from my old tank I took down to a leak in the bottom of the tank. The LR has some aiptasia on it. I plan on trying to get rid of it with the rea sea aiptasia x as I have done in the past. Didnt know if there was something I should do to clean the rock after I zap them and move the LR to the new tank? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The key to using the aiptaisa eliminating products is to make sure it stays on the anemones. You could use a bucket of saltwater you plan on discarding to dip the rocks in and swirl them around. That would get a lot of stuff off them before adding them to the new tank.

I would personally do it during wc and use a razor blade very carefully to scrap the remaining "stalk" or ap x off while using your siphon to make sure anything lose exits the tank! I am certain you have been made aware of the natural cures to this pest like peppermints and nudis but if this isn't the route you wish to go you could also scrap it off while siphoning your water and spray it off with the water coming out of your tank and place the rock back in... this usually takes two people or you may make a mess :)

Scraping them is a major pain in the backside, unless you have very flat rock. Aiptasia find their way into the nooks and crannies. I have used kalk paste with good success. That nukes them. I have also used super glue gel to entomb them into their holes. It does cost a little more to do that, but they won't come out.
