cleaning magnesium test percipient build up

My magnesium test kit has a bunch precipitate build up on the vial/container. What's the best way to clean that off? Is it even important to clean that off?

I just put a little vinegar in it let it sit for about 10 minutes and rub/scrub inside with q tip. Rinse very well. Comes out squeaky clean. But seems to build back up in no time. Lol

agree vinegar is the way to go. You could also try citric acid if you want something a little less strong. Also store your vials in with DI water in them and you pretty much will never have this problem.
