Cleaning magnets with blades.. okay to flip them?

I have one of those tiger shark cleaning magnets with the blades.. I use it on one side of the tank with the blade, but I don't flip to an adjacent side with the blade on because I'm afriad its going to scratch the glass.. anyone flip the magnet to another side of the glass with the blade on?

I've used the Flipper magnet on the stainless blade side for about 7 months. No scratchs or chips going between glass panes.
