Cleaning Marco Dry Rock

I bought 50 lbs or Marco dry rock back at the end of May. It has sat in my garage since then in a box, still dry of course. Well my tank now has water and sand in it and I need to get my rock in now. Do I need to just wash the rock with RO water, or are there other steps I should be taking to ensure success?

I do a gallon of Muratic acid with the rest tap water in a Rubbermaid container just enough to cover the rock and let it sit overnight.
