I just picked up (2) new 40 gallon vertical storage tanks to get started on my new mixing station. While I got them brand new locally, they were stored outside and weren't really wrapped in any packaging. I am obviously wanting to clean them up a little, but how much is really necessary?

Am I good just hosing them out/filling them up with tap water and draining/air dry? Or should I be filling it up with a water/vinegar mix, and let it soak? I've done some searching but all I can really find involves scrubbing brute cans, not soaking these vertical containers with limited access inside. Also, I haven't really had to do a vinegar soak on anything yet, so is it as simple as just rinsing it out afterwards and letting it dry outside?

Vinegar water should do the trick.
