Hello salty friends! I will be getting a new to me tank on Saturday that has been previously owned. It was professionally maintained for it's entire life and the guy who owns it now actually works at a fish store for his occupation. The tank is in really good shape but needs a little cleaning TLC. The tank itself is a Red Sea Max C250 and we are getting all of the pumps and filtration systems that came with the tank. It has not had a history of ick but is has had cyano algae. I don't know the best way to clean saltwater tanks and I'm looking for advice. I'm more than will to spend an extra buck and some extra elbow grease up front instead of trying to correct the problem later.
How would you start the cleaning process of a fairly well maintained tank with these previous issues?
