I soak mine in citric acid for about an hour, then use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub the tip for any detritus. Rinse with RO/DI, then recalibrate.

I do this as well, but I do not calibrate afterwards immediately, it is best to place the probes back in the tank for a day or so. The probe will be precise however it helps to get a little bit of bio-film back on the probe before calibrating to make them accurate and sometimes this will help with calibration errors after cleaning the probes.
