Hello, i have those magnet coming from the red sea reefwave, when I clean my stuff I do a Bath of bleach than a different bath for vinegar or acid citric.

But every single time those magnet with that type of caoutchouc becomes a pain in the butt to clean. It get sticky and get on your hands long, my sponge often all sticky.
This phenomena is specially happening after the vinager bath, this is where it becomes sticky mostly.

But its only those part, nothing else.
What are the tricks to avoid or clean those part?

thank you

I would not use anything but mild citric acid (EzeClean, etc.) on those magnets as they do get "gummy". What I do for my magnets is just place them in a container of hot water and a small amount of EzeClean and let them soak for 4-6 hours, scrub off as best I can with an electric toothbrush and then let stand to dry for an hour or so.

You can also order the spare magnets from Red Sea (or your local Red Sea dealer), so that's an option as well.
