Cleaning rock from previous tank.

Hi, new to the forums and new to the aquarium hobby .
I bough the Red Sea max nano from someone else.
Previous owner had it cycling with sand and rock in it .
We had to take it apart to be able to move it
My question is : what’s the proper way to clean the rocks before putting them back in the tank?(rocks have been outside water for 3 days)
I have already clean the tank with vinegar and water .
I’ll be adding live sand .
Already order salt and a Rodi system .

Sounds like the rock is relatively new, so you shouldn't need to do anything really more than rinsing it hot water and sitting out to thoroughly dry.

It sounds like the tank wasn’t very established, if at all. If the rocks still look fairy clean, as in not covered in hair algae etc. Then you can rinse them in salt water. ( you can get ocean salt water from your LFS cheap or better yet just go down to the ocean). If you want to kill anything that was on there, use a 10% bleach solution then rinse in a bucket with a de-chlorinator.
Most likely with out seeing your rock ( I ) would just put it back in the tank with lights off. Anything that was living on there is probably dead and will create ammonia which will help with the cycle. The bacteria probably went dormant but will comeback to life once it has a food source and water.

Yea the rocks are actually still pretty clean(white)
I guess ill just give it a good rinse and put them back in the tank.

Just give them a rinse in NSW ( preferred ) or RO. If you use tap water you may absorb phosphates which can add to algae issues in a new tank.
