. So I've tried emerald crab for bubble algae with not great results and the other algae is driving me nuts. So I'm thinking of taking the rock out and cleaning it.
Thoughts, ideas, any suggestions?

That's not a bad idea.
IMO just temporarily as you need to go down to the wire why you keep having algae.

What do you mean by "cleaning?" If you're going to chemically clean (bleach, acid, freshwater, etc), you will need to cure and cycle....figure 1 1/2 to two months.

I was thinking just taking it out and cleaning it in the sink then rinse with rodi and put it back in tank, no chemicals

What I have done was.. take 1 rock out..squirt h202 all over rock.. scrub with brush.. rinse off with saltwater..
