what is the best and safest why to clean live rock witch i can put back in the tank right away. I have a 125 with 150 pounds of rock that is 10-15 years old. I don't want to buy new. all the corals are doing great and i don't want to throw anything out of wack.

You can do a hyposalinity run. You basically put the rock in a tank or container with water that has a very high salinity and wait for a few days-weeks. It should kill majority of the critters.

what needs to be cleaned off the rock?

Mostly algea just want to clean it up I got rid of some fish and I cut back to bioload
Might want to look into the Fluconazole cure or even using phosphate rx.
Load up on a clean up crew. Turbo snails really go after several algaes.
