Cleaning/sterilizing nets

Is there a proper way or solution to use to clean and sterilize fish nets? I had a big battle with ich a while back and ended up getting rid of the old net, but now my wife's freshwater tank has ick and i want no chance of re-introducing it or transferring it to my saltwater tank. I know buying new is the best way but constantly buying a new net can get expensive.

I would soak it in bleach, and then let it completely dry.

Freshwater ich and saltwater ich are not the same thing, one can't live in the other. I don't even bother to wash my QT nets as they dry out for awhile in between use and the parasite is not going to be able to live.

Very good point, I didn't even catch that one tank was freshwater!
