Quick question, I know the answer is no, but I have to ask.

When you clean your Vectra or other DC pump, do you lubricate the magnet in any way when putting it back together?

Seems like it would get hot & have a lot of friction in the pump without it, but I know it is in our water, so the answer is probably no.

Correct, the water keeps it cool and acts as a lubricant, as soon as the magnet started spinning in the water, any lubrication you put on it would get washed away :)

Thanks! I knew the answer I just needed someone to tell me! Didn't want to burn up this expensive pump. cheers!
