Cleaning Vectra M1

I want to do a thorough cleaning of my M1 while my tank is down. Do y'all recommend running it in a vinegar water bath?

Does it have any coralline algea on it or calcium buildups? If not I just do an RO/DI water bath and scrub mine with a toothbrush.

I take mine completely apart and soak all the parts in a diluted vinegar (about 5 to 1) let it soak while I do a water change, scrub all parts with a toothbrush, rinse it real good put it back together and put it back in the tank

Thanks! I'll do all those things. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything that might hurt it.
