cleaning vials

I test with my hanna alk checker 3-4 x per week and my alk has been stable at around 7.7-8 dkh. last night i decided to clean the vials in vinegar soak,washed thoroughly and this morning my alk was at 8.6..i think that the cloudy vial accounts for the difference,so i will be maintaining them regularly from now on

I usually clean each vial I use with vinegar, a q-tip and then rinse well in ro/di. Then rinse in tank water right before testing.

Are you rinsing the vial right after you use it? It's important to not let the Hanna alk vials sit around with the reagent in them.
