Cleaning water change equipment?

Might be a dumb question but what is the best way to clean out water jugs, water pitchers, brushes, tubs, measuring cup? Hot water? Dishwasher on a rinse cycle? Bleach? Peroxide?

I use hot water/citric acid mix and a scrub brush. Then a few rinses with RODI water. Might be overkill but why risk it.

I usually just rinse with tapwater and wipe dry with a towel.
