I started the tank 6 months ago using LR. A few days ago I noticed clear tentacles poking out from the side of the rock. Curious to know what it could be, we poked it with the coral feeding tube and it didn't retract. I looked it up online and the only thing I could find is possibly clear aipstaisia, however, it doesn't retract like aipstaisia does and whatever it is, has been there for 6 months and hasn't spread (that I noticed yet). What has been introduced into the tank in the last 6 months you ask? Let me tell you... Last thing to enter was end of Feb, was 2 corals which were dipped, scrubbed and quarantined in a QT for 6 weeks (that's right, had a Brook problem in the past, ain't doing that again..) Prior to that was 2 crabs in November... No new fish since the new year (other then some fw mollies that I converted to sw in January..)
I tried to get photos but it's really blurry... I can try and get better ones if it can help
I was just wondering if anyone ever seen something like that or know if aipstaisia doesn't retract sometimes and it's clear... like no color at all (which makes it hard to photograph in the water)
