Clear Blobs on algae and glass

So i typically ignore my refugium. Today i was doing a major maintenance and noticed some clear gross blobs in my overflow. I started working in the sump and noticed a huge explosion of them. I was expecting to clear out some cheato but it seems that its been getting eaten.

Often built from silica, looks like formation of pineapple sponges - pre stage

Oh this is excellent. On my searching before posting I read about the pineapple sponges and figured that would be the best outcome. They are just really oddly textured and just strange little things. I guess ill let them be and see what happens (•‿•)
