Hey everyone,

looking for some help IDing clear eggs that I just noticed in my frag tank on some live rock. There are only 3 clowns in this tank (2 came paired) and some snails. The eggs appear to be clear with just the smaller few dots in them.

ive also observed some white eggs on the glass with what appears to be a yellow yoke?

Any help identifying either would be greatly appreciated.

Pic slightly fuzzy but looks tunicates

Yea it’s hard to get a good pic of the dots, but I looked up the tunicates and it doesn’t resemble them. They aren’t attached very well, so I’m assuming they aren’t there for the long haul, I have them in a mesh breeder box until I figure out what it is

The red circled piece is the few small dots in each clear egg.
Trochus snails mostly
They look like nassarius snail eggs. Don't expect them to survive though as nassarius are very difficult to breed in captivity. Free fish food though :)

From what I can tell, Nassarius snails typically lay their eggs in a more cohesive "string", in a more neat/uniform manner than this, and they seem to lay a lot more eggs. To me, this looks most like Trochus snail eggs - but that's just my guess/observation. Either way, most or all of them will probably be eaten while they're young.
