Clear glass using car wax?

I’ve been reading about using a car wax on your glass. What brand?

Wax on glass is not something Ive heard of in reefkeeping... what benefit is there to waxing the glass?

Only thing I can think of, is like waxing your windshield water beads off and leave not spots other than that ‍
