Clear pvc. Its nice and a great way to see whats in your system.

Problem with clear piping (or tubing) exposed to (main or refugium) light is it will grow a nice sheet of algae that will need to be cleaned out regularly. We'd all like to see what's going on but trust me you still won't be able to see anything after long unless you add cleaning it to your maintenance.

i have a fabricated cover for the overflow, so no algae grows
