clear strings coming from coral?

Hello! I've noticed a few clear(ish) strands coming from a coral, pictured below:

Is it just waste material? Or something more... nefarious?

Looks like feeder/sweeper tentacles? Is that coming from the chalice?
 
Yeah, there is a torch nearby, and it actually looks a little bothered. I suppose I should move one or the other, eh? Thanks!

And to answer your question, yeah, it's coming from the coral pictured. The closest neighbor is a pink torch about 4 inches away in the direction the strand is going. It's never looked anything but happy, until today:

I would move one of the corals. It could be some coral warfare going on.
 
I got rid of my hollywood stunner chalice for that exact reason. The sweepers are over 6" long!!! You can't have anything near it or it gets zapped.
