Clear vinyl tubing question....

So I just bought a couple different sizes of clear flexible vinyl tubing from Home depot and am now wondering if it would be aquarium safe??? It has a chemical smell to it(smelled that smell from actual aqua tubing too) and it says "not for use with icemakers" so I'm curious if it would be safe for my tank.

Most of those are perfectly safe, I have used some over the years. Only exception is if it is made of something unusual. On the label it should state exactly what material it is.

You'll be fine. I have used pretty much every size sold at HD/Lowes over the years without issue.
