Having a tank built for me, euro braced 180. Should I do clear or black silicone? Pictures of your tank with black or silicone would be appreciated as well.

In my opinion, black silicone looks so much nicer, it won't discolor if you use medications containing dies, it doesn't discolor over time and gives an overall cool appearance like a frame. All of our aquariums have black silicone.
I hope this helps!
Best regards,
Scott

Iirc clear is slightly stronger

I've always preferred the clear silicone; I personally find it has a cleaner, less obstructive look.

I'm also being biased because the black silicone on one tank I had started to flake off around the edges and that looked TERRIBLE.

Yeah, that's kind of the way I was leaning also. Thanks guys.

I saw a tank with clear silicone and they kept the webbing (the excess in the corners) very tight and minimal. I thought it looked very sleek. Of course this was when the tank was brand new and they all look good.
