New to the saltwater hobby

always kept fresh water planted tanks. Got the biocube 32, and must say, I’ll never go back to fresh water...

my tank has been setup for 1.5 months now. Cycled early, have livestock and coral at this point. All doing great and healthy

HOWEvER, I’ve noticed the saltwater isn’t nearly as clear as my planted tanks use to be. Not that it’s ‘cloudy’ at all...just not as clear...doesn’t necessarily look ‘polished’ compared to how my freshwater use to look.

the biocube‘s filtration isn’t very impressive. I do have an eheim classic that I would love to utilize. But ive heard bad things about canister filters and saltwater.....

opinions on what I should do for that ‘polished’ and ‘sparkling clear’ water????

Chemipure blue does wonders.
Youw can utilize canister to polish water, just don’t count on it as a primary filter as it can become a nitrate factory

Congrats on your new tank. It's still young. So much biology going on in there, near impossible to say why it's not uber clear. I'd let it ride for a few months. It may self-correct. It's an issue u know you can solve if u end up having to.
