Clear White Cyno

I have a good case of the clear white cyano that was caused by me overdosing vodka over several weeks.

My plan is to:
1) STOP the carbon vodka dosing and comeback dosing 1/4th the dose AFTER step 2 below
2) have a 3 days complete blackout of lights.

What else should I been doing?

I will not do ChemiClean bc although it works... it wipes out all good and bad bacteria. its like starting over.

I don't think you need to turn the lights off. Just adjust the carbon source and wait would be what I should have done.

Just back dose half what you have been and manually remove the bacteria snot if possible. It won't hurt anything unless its growing on corals or something, lights out won't help it grows in the dark too. I used to dose in a refuge tank full of rock and low flow so the bacteria snot would build in there and I wouldn't have to worry about doing anything about it.
